September Water Monitoring Results!

Writer's picture: thegroveprojectthegroveproject

Every month, The Grove Project has made the commitment to conduct water quality monitoring tests at a local body of water here in South Florida, Little Lake Worth Lagoon. As a proud EarthEcho International Water Challenge Ambassador, we are excited to share September 2019's results below:

Air Temperature: 89°F

Water Temperature: 90°F

pH Level: 8

Turbidity: 40 JTU

Dissolved Oxygen: 4 ppm

Percent Saturation of Oxygen: 55%

Detailed Explanation:

On a hot late summer day at noon, the air temperature and water temperature are expected to be this high. High temperatures decrease dissolved oxygen levels, so the 55% saturation reading makes sense. The turbidity, or the clarity of the water, remains at 40 JTU. The pH has remained at a fairly constant state of around 8.
