About Us
The Grove Project is an environmental organization founded on the mission of educating others on the importance of our natural environment, specifically South Florida mangrove ecosystems. Through environmental awareness, we hope to foster a community that will help conserve our natural wonders before it is too late.
Meet Our Founder
Nicolas Lama - Riviera Beach, Florida

Nicolas Lama is a seventeen-year-old South Florida native who is passionate about his environment. Surrounded by water his entire life, Nicolas has grown up surfing, paddleboarding, and kayaking in his community with his family and friends.
In 2019, Nicolas decided to establish his own environmental organization, The Grove Project, to address the importance to conserve South Florida's mangrove ecosystems. About Our Name

The Grove Project est. 2019

The Grove Project was founded upon the mission of conserving South Florida's beautiful mangrove ecosystems. The Grove Project plays on the word mangrove to specifically highlight our focus on mangrove conservation.
However, our name goes beyond referencing mangroves. Our mission is to foster a community of environmentally conscious citizens to help preserve our natural wonders. In other words, we want to create a grove, and a society who feels passionate about protecting our environment.
